Your Gen Eds can be done here at a lower cost. We use the same textbooks as every large university and they have a community. And the community is the biggest thing. I've been in classes as low as seven people. And with that, I get to build relationships with my professor that really just brings it all together and that's what makes it feel like a tight-knit community and not just an institution [inaudible].
You also have a lot of opportunities to work on campus and SMC as well. I worked throughout school and I used that money to pay my tuition as I went along.
Graduating SMC without debt is very reassuring, teaching me that I made the right choices attending SMC, and not just that but it makes me feel more confident not having financial burden holding me down or holding my goals down, or limiting myself.
